80 Humanists Responded to the Campaign

The campaign met expectations. It was organized on the occassion of the Day of HPP Perućica – 58 years of its existence and successful operation and May 11th - Day of voluntary blood donors of Montenegro. Certain number of young participants, who donated blood for the first time, contributed to its success.

Last year, the voluntary blood donation club of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore marked one decade of its existence and successful operation. We have around 200 active members and around 350 assistants. Our activities are funded mainly from voluntary monthly contributions of EPCG employees, and it is very important for us to have an understanding and support from the Company. Our club operates in all municipalities in which EPCG energy facilities operate: Nikšić, Plužine and Pljevlja. We should emphasize an exceptional cooperation with the Bureau for blood transfusion of Montenegro and Departments for blood transfusion in Nikšić and Pljevlja, the Red Cross of Montenegro and municipal organizations of the Red Cross in municipalities in which we accomplish program objectives, as well as with other clubs. We are very active in terms of popularization and affirmation of blood donation; depending on our possibilities, we always aim at contributing to development of a voluntary blood donation and providing support to equipping the Department for blood transfusion in municipalities in which we carry out our activities.

After the campaign in Nikšić, the Association of voluntary blood donors was organized in catering complex Manitovac, where healthy lifestyles were also demonstrated.
